Limits of the Cash You Can Carry When Travelling to a Foreign Land
When going to a foreign country for pleasure, there is a limit to the amount of currency that you can carry. This limit is known as the Liberalized Remittance Scheme and it is defined by the RBI.
Amount of currency you can carry For a Pleasure Trip
USD 10000 per traveller. You can carry a maximum of USD 3000 in currecny and the remainder should be carried as travellers cheques or travel cards.
On Sale of Foreign Currency
INR 50,000. If the amount is more than 50,000, then we can accept the amount by way of Crossed Cheque/Demand Draft/Pay Order or by RTGS to our account.
